The specific concept of the short cone introduced by Level Wings on its speedriding wings is designed to minimize parasitic pendular and inertial reactions during the ride, freeing up direct piloting (and pleasure!) during your ski evolutions, for your most beautiful lines.
The “median lateral position” allows the wing to “follow” you nicely when you ski under sail. As a result, this midpoint of “contact point” might be perceived as lower on our Speedriding wings than on skydiving, paragliding, minivocals or Speedflying wings, which don’t have the same piloting patterns.
The median lateral positioning has been developed to allow a harmonious body balance when skiing and flying:
neither too high because you’re skiing upright, exploiting the verticality of your body, and not too low (!) to keep the control travel necessary for the wing’s maneuverability. Paying attention to this feeling when handling your wing will enlighten you, confirming the confidence and potential it offers you: the pure essence of gliding on snow as well as in the air!
